Copyright (c) 2007 Public Relations Committee - 24th SEA Games The 2007 Southeast Asian Games was held in Nakhon Ratchasima, also known as Korat, from 6 to 15 December 2007. Around 5,282 athletes participated at the games which featured 475 events in 43 sports. This was the sixth time Thailand hosted the Southeast Asian Games. Previously, Thailand hosted the games in 1959, 1967, 1975 and 1985, all in which were held in the Thai capital, Bangkok. Thailand also hosted the 1995 SEA Games, but this time, held in Chiang Mai. The edition marked the first time that a non-capital city hosted the Southeast Asian Games. The Thai Olympic Committee planned the event to coincide with the commemoration of 80th birthday of King Bhumibol Adulyadej who was also the gold medalist of the sailing event at the 1967 SEAP Games in Bangkok. "Rhythm of the Winner" was the 24th SEA Games' official theme song. It is one of the 4 official songs that were composed for these games along with other songs such as, "We are The Water", "Friendship Card" and "Korat SEA Games". The first few seconds of the song was heard in the TV Opener of the international broadcasts of the 2007 SEA Games.
