A JVC HR-S9911U VCR was sent in to me to be looked at with the main concern of playback issues, both video and audio issues. I had to do a minor tape path alignment (sorry didnt record) as well as a ACE audio, control, erase head alignment. That still lead to poor linear audio playback, I found the head it self was not being grounded to the chassis. A quick bend of the grounding spring and that problem was solved. I had to clean the carbon brush and the commutator for the cylinder head ground also (sorry didnt record) Thanks for watching.
