Dolpa Diary - My Solo Trek to Upper Dolpo | 2017

Dolpa Diary is a self-shot documentary about my month-long solo journey to the mountains of Nepal in 2017. The film reflects on joy and fear experienced along the way. I've been a outdoor person most of my life. With this journey, I wanted to really push my limits by travelling alone to one of the most isolated region. The trek in itself took a month and after 3 months of tireless edits, we premiered it at the Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival. The film was very well received by the audience and won it's first award; Best Adventure Film award at the festival and later grabbed "Best Nepali Woman Director" award at the Human Rights International Film Festival. The whole journey of travelling and editing has been so incredible for me and my production team. It is a piece I am incredibly proud of and an adventure I will not forget.
