MAME finally renders 3D graphics on this game instead of just showing black screen. Not merged with MAME 2.77. Will likely be on the upcoming 2.78 build. Pull request: cpu/i960: Reduce padding area size when servicing interrupt #28078 Some things MAME will not beat Nebula Model 2 emulator in: -Resolution: MAME will be stuck with hotd's original 496x384 resolution of the model 2 board. -Widescreen: No widescreen support either. -Light gun flash: It's there and can't be removed. These will likely never change in MAME. Things that are worse in MAME than M2 emu but can be improved later on: -Bilinear filter on textures. -Incorrect texture mapping. -Gore not working in attract mode. -Framerate. -No way to map offscreen shot/ aka reload to any mouse buttons: There seems to be no option for it in the input mapping. There is an option to enable offscreen reload with lightgun button 2 in settings but it doesn't seem to do anything in this game. Things that are better on MAME compared to M2 emu: -Black and white levels: This was noticeable immediately. The dark areas in M2 emulator are too dark and most of the details are lost. That has been the case with M2 emulator ever since version 0.7
