Fishing on the mud filled bank of the trinity river in Texas with blacktip and Hayden. This is the last day of our gar fishing trip and I ended up only catching a soft shell turtle. This was my first time ever catching a soft shell turtle and holding one up close. Blacktiph ended up catching his PB alligator gar, even though is was not the giant fish we were looking for. We are sharing out fishing tips after fishing for these gar for three days on this river. They are not easy to catch because they have such hard mouths full of sharp teeth. I'll be back with ocean spoon girl to go after these giant alligator gar again in the muddy river. I was a little concerned about the crazy redneck river people that tied up Hayden's friend and help him for ransom, but that's part of the fishing adventure in unknown fishing spots!
