A one year's baby boy presented at SQUARE HOSPITALS LTD Dhaka Bangladesh with history of Cough and respiratory distress since 06th march 2022 followed by chocking episodes during taking nut. During bronchoscopy we found a foreign body (part of a peanut outer shell measuring 1.5cm x 0.7cm) in the upper trachea just below the vocal cord. Foreign body was removed by rat tooth forceps. Procedure : Foreign Body Removal Indication: Cough and respiratory distress since 06th march, 2022 followed by chocking episodes during taking nut Medication Under G/A ROUTE: Trans LMA FINDINGS: VOCAL CORD: Normal in motion and phonation. TRACHEA: A foreign body (part of a peanut outer shell measuring 1.5cm x 0.7cm) was seen in the upper trachea just below the vocal cord. CARINA: Normal and sharp. RIGHT LUNG: Normal. LEFT LUNG: Thick mucus secretion came out. BAL: Taken. IMPRESSION: Foreign body (Peanut outer shell) in upper trachea (Please see the description also).
