The resort is connected via a tram to Luxor and Excalibur to the north, and is home to myriad dining options, bars, and things to do that make this a great home base. A basic Resort King room at Mandalay Bay offers a generous 550 square feet of space, a work desk with a view, not one, but 2 closets, a stylish bathroom, and an upscale experience that keeps me coming back. Things to do at Mandalay Bay covered in the video include the Shark Reef Aquarium, Swingers Crazy Golf, Minus5 Icebar, Michael Jackson ONE, and Bob Marley Hope Road. The crown attraction is the Mandalay Beach pool complex, which spans 11 acres and is home to a lazy river, a wave pool, and 2,700 tons of real sand. There are also plenty of things to do near Mandalay Bay that include Titanic, Bodies, Play Playground, and Discovering King Tut’s Tomb at Luxor, the Pinball Hall of Fame, and even the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign within walking distance. Dining options are plentiful, with over 25 restaurants on-site. Boringly, I only had time to stop into Slice of Vegas, which is one of my go-to cheap eats options on the south end of the Strip. Mandalay’s Foundation Room is a GORGEOUS lounge at the top of the hotel tower that serves up unreal views of the Strip to the north. A bottle of domestic beer may cost $10, but it’s well worth it! Despite what people describe as a challenging location, I’ve grown to love the relative quiet of Mandalay Bay. The rooms are a great value, restaurants are plentiful, activities are abundant both at the resort and nearby, and the pool is among the best on the Stirp.
