General Route Information: Starting Point: Saat Kulesi (Clock Tower) - Located in the heart of the old city center, near the entrance to Kaleiçi. Destination: Konyaaltı Liman Mahallesi - This is the neighborhood at the western end of Konyaaltı beach, where the marina (liman) is located. Distance & Time: The exact distance will vary depending on the chosen streets, but it is approximately 10 to 15 kilometers (6-9 miles) one way. Cycling time could be anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes, not accounting for stops or traffic. Terrain: The route is generally flat once you get out of the immediate old town area. There might be some minor uphill or downhill sections, especially leaving Kaleiçi, but the main stretch along the coast (Konyaaltı Beach) is very smooth and flat. Route Highlights and Path Options: Start (Kaleiçi/Saat Kulesi): You will need to carefully navigate out of the historic Kaleiçi area, as many streets are pedestrianized or cobblestoned. Main Avenue (Dumlupınar Blv. or nearby): Once out of the old town, you will typically join a main thoroughfare that leads west towards the coast. Konyaaltı Beach Promenade: The most enjoyable part of the ride will be along the famous Konyaaltı Beach. Antalya has a dedicated and excellent bicycle path that runs parallel to the beach for much of its length. This path is flat, paved, and offers stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Taurus Mountains. Destination (Liman Mahallesi): You simply follow the coastal path until you reach the marina area. The Liman Mahallesi neighborhood surrounds the marina, and the path usually ends or becomes an urban street near this point. What to Expect: Scenic Views: You will get views of historic buildings near the start, and magnificent views of the sea, the beach, and mountains along the majority of the route. Bike Path: The existence of a dedicated bike path along the coast makes this a relatively safe and pleasant ride. Crowds: The coastal path and surrounding areas can be very busy, especially during peak season (summer) and on weekends. Be mindful of pedestrians, especially near parks and cafes. Facilities: There are numerous cafes, restrooms, and water fountains along the Konyaaltı beach stretch. Tips for the Tour: Timing: Early morning or late afternoon/early evening are the best times to avoid the heat and the heaviest crowds. Safety: Wear a helmet and ensure your bike has lights if riding near dusk. Be aware of traffic when crossing roads, especially leaving the city center. Hydration: Carry water, even for a short ride, as the weather in Antalya can be very hot. This route is a fantastic way to experience a large, beautiful section of Antalya's coastline! #antalya #walkingtour #travel #travelturkey #antalyaturkey #visitantalya #türkiye #exploreantalya #citytour
