The incident happened late last night, with eyewitnesses alleging that the Porsche and a BMW were racing. This reportedly caused the Porsche's driver to lose control, ramming the vehicle into the divider. According to initial information from investigators, "this incident happened because there was a race." The car, which had a Dehradun registration number, was severely damaged in the collision, with deployed airbags indicating the force of the impact.
