After mixed reception of Great Adventure's 2026/27 Record Breaking Launch Coaster, Six Flags corporate wasn't happy with the numbers it pulled in. So, they had a tough choice to make: either let the park further fade into mediocracy, or spend a ridiculous amount of money on the park and tap back into the potential this property has. Six Flags Corporate, and the park decided that a B&M giga nearly 400 feet tall would be the answer and would bring serious attendance to the park. Enter: Bangala, a 375 foot monster taking six records. The tallest giga, fastest giga, tallest coaster with a chain lift, fastest coaster with a chain lift, most airtime of any giga coaster, and of course, the longest coaster in North America.
