We Stayed with Strangers in The Gambia | Starfish International School| Community Building

(Season 2- Episode 37) Our last night in The Gambia we did not know where we were staying. So when we got asked to stay with a group of strangers we agreed. These strangers quickly turned into family and changed our lives. Watch this video as I talk about my time at Starfish International School. Much love family. -------- Starfish International is an established girls education and enrichment program in The Gambia, focused on service to humanity. They are funded through mutually beneficial exchanges of learning and support. They run a robust volunteer program receiving schools and individuals around the world who come to work with them and learn with them. The funds from those exchanges keep the mentorship program going. Mission: is to uplift Gambian girls by providing them with a world class education that is focused on service to humanity while at the same time providing international service- learning opportunities for our volunteers. Vision: is to establish a state of the art academy of excellence that will provide The Gambian girl/child an exceptional education from pre-school to graduate school. Every participant in this endeavor, including administrators, teachers, volunteers and students, will be motivated by the end goal of service to humanity and challenged to find effective ways of infusing service to others into their daily work.
