"From Addiction to Recovery: A Community's Response to the Heroin Epidemic" is a news documentary about the efforts in the fight against heroin in the Northern Kentucky region. This documentary tells the story of a NKU student currently battling heroin addiction, a former Northern Kentucky high school prom queen recovering from addiction, and a group of parents who fought to create some of the nation's first laws in support of aiding heroin and opioid users. This documentary was a production by Northern Kentucky University Journalism student Tori Lentz, Electronic Media and Broadcasting student Kasey Long and advised by EMB Lecturer Wes Akers.
