HOW TO ADD NEW FISH - TO A REEF TANK - WITH ESTABLISHED FISH Hello again fellow reef aquarists, welcome back to Craft Aquatic, I’m Matt G. In today’s topic we’ll be discussing one method I like to use when adding new fish to an existing aquarium with established fish, especially territorial species. If this video is helpful or entertaining to you, there are dozens more like it on the Craft Aquatic channel so please do take a moment to hit the thumbs up and subscribe. Before we get into this method, I’d like to thank all of the experienced hobbyists on sites like Reef 2 Reef and Reef Central who openly discuss their reefing experience on forums. This method for introducing new fish to a reef tank with established fish, for me, originated on Reef Central around 2008. Really the best way to introduce fish is by starting with the less aggressive species, add them all at once first… followed by more aggressive medium sized species and your largest territorial fish last. In this case, like I am sure so many of you can relate to, I have lost some fish to age over the years and would really like to introduce these healthy blue / Green Chromis to this 120 gallon reef with a variety of established fish already in it. I am going to use a method that incorporates two mirrors, to distract the current residents of this aquarium, immediately following the introduction of these fish. Thank you for Watching Craft Aquatic. HOW TO ADD NEW FISH - TO A REEF TANK - WITH ESTABLISHED FISH
