This video describes the physical and political geography of the Himalayan territory of Jammu and Kashmir in India (including Pakistan occupied Kashmir as well). The beautiful state, with high Himalayas in Kishtwar and vast valley of Kashmir, from beautiful grasslands (margs) in Pir Panjal and Shamsbari to undulating Shivalik and plains of Jammu, this union territory and future state of India has a lot to offer. Jammu and Kashmir has countless water springs, called Nags, like Kokernag and Verinag, the largest city of Himalayas, Srinagar, and the fertile plains of Jammu in the south. India's largest freshwater Lake (Wular), longest Road tunnel (Chenani-Nashri on NH-44) and longest railway tunnel (T-50 on USBRL), as well as highest railway and highest arch bridge (Chenab Railway Bridge) are here. This video describes the state in three major ways, political geography, using its mountain ranges, and using its rivers and their basins. It will get complex, serious people might want to keep a notebook, or google earth handy, but, as always, enjoy!
