Tony Mokbel, a notorious gangland figure, will not face a retrial for his final drug trafficking charges from two decades ago, according to the Director of Public Prosecutions. Mokbel was released in April after 18 years in jail due to the Lawyer X scandal, where his lawyer Nicola Gobbo was revealed to be a police informant working against him. The Court of Appeal determined he suffered a substantial miscarriage of justice, and after tomorrow's court appearance, the 60-year-old father of two will be completely free with no criminal matters remaining.
