Although ‘critical thinking’ and ‘21st century skills’ are terms which are commonly used in educational establishments across the world, how often do we actually apply them in our own classrooms? In many respects, English language teaching is still rooted in the 20th Century, and we are not preparing our students for the workplace and society of the future.
