🇨🇱 THE LONE STAR ⭐ BY RICHARD BLACK 🇨🇱 Constructed from a solid piece of highly figured Bubinga, this cue is inlayed with several emblems depicting the development of the Republic- The Great State of Texas. 🇨🇱 At the butt plate of the cue is a copper star with the normal ring around it and engraving of the facets of the star. On the opposite side from the star is a natural inlay of the "Alamo" and the engraving/ scrimshaw that was all done by Richard Black- The wrap area is inlaid with sterling silver in the form of a barbed wire. It required 171 inlays to do this 4th axis wrap around! 🔥 The barbed wire pattern is a John Gillian patent from the 1880's! In the nose area is an Ebony inlay of an oil derrick, a long horn steer and a silver inlay of the Rockin' RB brand..... The joint is done in black phenolic and the collar rings are inlaid with six sterling silver stars to depict the six flags that have flown over Texas. 🇨🇱 There is a custom joint cap protector, again with the six silver stars. On top of the cap is a miniature charm of the San Jacinto Monument. This magnificent example of functional art is signed by the Hall of Fame Master Mr. Richard Black at the front of the wrap area. It is assigned the collector number 16/ 2007 to signify that it was the 16th collectable cue he made in 2007. Two shafts included- Both 4.2 oz- 13 m- Nat Ferrules The shafts have a taper roll but the tips do not come up off the table and everything rolls straight together with the butt as they should! Butt weight- 15.2 oz- 5/16- 14 Piloted Joint Fresh out of a very prestigious private collection This cue is actually still unplayed! It has a few marks on the shafts connections from being transported to shows here and there. Nothing serious, all very minor. No dents or dings!
