Remembering The 49th Street Galleria- Part 2

The 49th Street Galleria opened in 1983. After many years, it became the Utah Fun Dome. It was also briefly home to Salt Lake Valley College and to the Grand Buffet restaurant. These are future plans for the building: Schoolhouse Development LLC, a local Utah charter school developer, is currently in the process of completely renovating the site where the 49th Street Galleria once stood. The building will be renovated both inside and out in order to provide a new home for the American International School of Utah (AISU). AISU will be the home for many Utah charter school student and as the name suggests, it will also be home to many international students. AISU will share the newly renovated space with a local Utah non-denominational church known as K2 The Church.
