This is the New Jersey F1 Track That Was Cancelled! | Port Imperial Street Circuit

Today we look at the Port Imperial Street Circuit which ended up being a failed F1 project in the early 2010's. The circuit was meant host the Grand Prix of America and originally intended to debut on the F1 calendar in 2013. Containing a length of 3.2 mi (5.1 km). Sebastian Vettel did a promotional test run along the proposed route in 2012, describing it as "exceptional'' he said as he was reminded of the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps & Circuit de Monaco with it's insane elevation changes. Unfortunately the race was subject to a series of postponements and delays stemming from financial difficulties, failure to obtain approval from the FIA, a lack of preparedness from organisers, and a contractual dispute. The race was repeatedly added then removed from future Formula One provisional calendars, and dropped completely from even the provisional calendar by 2016. Enjoy!
