Shri Radha Gopinath - Darshan & History: Location: Radha Gopinath is considered to be one among the oldest temple (1559 A.D) in vrindavan located at the bank of Yamuna Ji. History: First, Shri Gopinath resided near Vanshivat, but later a magnificent new temple was constructed elsewhere and His service and worship continued there. Sri Krishna´s great grandson Vajranabha had three deities carved according to the descriptions of Krishna given by Parikshit´s mother Uttara. When they were finished, Uttara confirmed that Govinda Deva had the same lotus face of Krishna, Gopinath had the same broad shoulders and chest of him and Madanmohan had the same strong and shapely legs of Krishna. Vrajanabha, Lord Krishna's great-grandson, installed the original Gopinath Deity in Vrindavan over five-thousand years ago. About five-hundred years ago, Paramananda Bhattacharya discovered the Deity in the earth at Banshivat on the banks of the Yamuna. Madhu Pandit Goswami, a disciple of Shri Gadadhar Pandit close associate of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, worshiped the Gopinath Deity. Gopinath is manifested to give “Prema Bhakti” to his devotees. Everywhere Radharani is on the left-hand side of Shri Krishn, but here Radharani is on the right side and Jahnava thakuranee, wife of Nityananda Prabhu on the left. Due to Radharani’s mercy, she has provided her own place to Jahnava thakuranee. Once, Nityananda Prabhu’s wife Jahnava thakuranee came to Vrindavan. As she was having darshan of Shri Radha-Gopinath, she thought that the deity of Radhika was too small and that‚ if Radhika had been a little taller, the Couple would look much more beautiful. Jahnava thakurane returned to her residence after beholding the evening ceremony. That night, in a dream, Shri Gopinath asked Jahnava to arrange for a taller deity of Radhika. She received similar instructions from Radharani and had a deity of Her made that was a more appropriate size for the deity of Gopinath. The book Bhakta-mala describes that at the time of Jahnava thakurane’s disappearance, she revealed her own deity and established herself in it. She instructed the priests to install the deity of her in the chamber of Shri Gopinath. When this deity arrived at the temple of Gopinath in Vrindavan, the priests hesitated to install her alongside Shri Gopinatha. At that time, Gopinathje Himself instructed the priests, “Do not hesitate. This is My beloved Anang Manjaree.
