Anoitecer com Caças de 5ª Geração | F-35 🇬🇧 Após KC-46A 🇺🇸 Já ao final da tarde e prolongando-se até ao início da noite, registámos mais um interessante período de atividade militar na Base das Lajes, na Ilha Terceira, Açores. A movimentação começou com quatro aterragens do moderno Boeing KC-46A Pegasus da Força Aérea dos Estados Unidos (USAF). Desenvolvido pela Boeing, o KC-46A é a nova geração de aviões de reabastecimento aéreo da USAF, baseado na plataforma do Boeing 767. Já no início da noite, foi a vez da chegada de aeronaves da Real Força Aérea Britânica (RAF). Registámos duas aterragens do avançado Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II, um caça de 5ª geração desenvolvido pela Lockheed Martin. A acompanhar os caças chegou também um Airbus Voyager KC2, versão militar do Airbus A330 utilizada pela RAF para reabastecimento aéreo e transporte estratégico, desempenhando um papel fundamental no apoio a operações de longa distância. The movement began with four landings of the modern Boeing KC-46A Pegasus operated by the United States Air Force (USAF). Developed by Boeing, the KC-46A represents the new generation of aerial refueling aircraft for the USAF and is based on the Boeing 767 platform. Later, at the beginning of the night, aircraft from the Royal Air Force (RAF) arrived. We recorded two landings of the advanced Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II, a 5th-generation fighter jet developed by Lockheed Martin. Supporting the fighters was also an Airbus Voyager KC2, the military version of the Airbus A330, used by the RAF for air-to-air refueling and strategic transport, playing a key role in supporting long-range operations.
