Ashiya in Hyogo, known to have Japan's Beverly Hills, the No.1 luxurious residential area in Japan.

After parting ways with my great friend Marty who gave me a deeper tour of Kobe, I continued exploring on my own. My next destination was the Ashiya city located next to Kobe City. Remarkably, Ashiya is known for having Japan's most exclusive residential area. Then there's the private residence (now a museum) of fashion designer Hiroko Koshino, known as a work of architect Tadao Ando, which I learned further about when visiting the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art which was also designed by him. I'd like to explore both from the perspective of "housing" as it embodies the character of the city.
