Stoicheia [ELEMENTS]: The 2,200 LED "Digital Stained-Glass" Dodecahedron

Stoicheia [ELEMENTS] is a twelve-sided, four-foot diameter, 2,200 LED art installation built in 2016, in Portland, OR. Based on one of the five Platonic Solids and named after the most famous math book ever written, it is an homage to the earliest Greek thinkers and mathematicians. Each side is unique and depicts the iconography of one of the Twelve Olympians, the main gods of the ancient Greek pantheon. "Digital stained-glass", the images are static, but the colors are dynamic. Controlled by custom software, what you see is always changing. The algorithm is random; the colorful patterns will never repeat.
