This week is all about the frontman for one of Salt Lake’s newest bands, Wilbere! Davis McBride is the lead writer and vocalist for the band that recently won the Battle of the Bands competition at the Velour Live Music Gallery in Provo. I feel so lucky to have been able to sit and hear from Davis and his creative mind and take a look into what it takes to start a band from the ground up. Wilbere released their first EP Quiet Eyes in 2023 and another EP titled My Given Name in 2024. They have already amassed over 1,400 monthly listeners on Spotify and are growing. Davis talks about what the beginning of Wilbere looked like, the realities of writing for a group and what the future looks like for them going forward.
