Hello and Welcome to Phat Monkey 404! Today we are doing a classic car from 1960s. Its the Shelby Cobra 427 S/C. The Cobras was a British AC Ace sports car chassis paired with a powerful American Ford V8 engine. With a 0-60 at 4 seconds and a top speed of 165, these cars are still fast compared to modern day cars! These cars were made by the legendary Carroll Shelby who was an American automotive designer, racing driver, and entrepreneur. Shelby Partnered with Ford to create high performance versions of the Mustang which were the Shelby GT350 and GT500. Naturally, Ford then asked Shelby to head up the GT40 programme to beat Ferrari at the Le Mans 24 hour race. Took a couple years but they did manage it in 1966. Sadly, Ken Miles ( was an English racing driver ) was forced to slow down so Ford could get a photo of both GT$) cars coming over the line in first and second place but, as the other car started further back on the starting grid, they were given the win and not Ken. Right, anyhow, This is set number 10357 and was released in July 2025. Comes with 1241 pieces over 8 bags of racing fun!
