2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring Center Console Media Control Replacement

I was using my 2016 Mazda CX-5 to haul around some metal poles that were pulled from the ground and still had some dirt on them. The dirt fell off the end of the pole and sifted it's way in to the center console media control (yes, I should have put them in the other direction). When I pushed down on the home button and the favorite button, neither of them popped back up. After a quick look around, I opened the arm rest and found a few seams. With a quick pull at the seams, the console came apart with little effort. There were two wires that came undone pretty easy, and then six small Philips head screws. On the other side of the cover was a rubber flexible mold that separated an electronic mother board from the plastic underside of the push controls of the media center. I worked the buttons back and forth several times until the silt worked it's way out and the buttons moved freely. After reassembling the media control center and a quick test, everything was back to working order. Save yourself the shop fee which would have probably been over $100. It took me all of ten minutes to fix the problem.
