Clear cell carcinoma is a rare and aggressive subtype of epithelial ovarian cancer, accounting for about 6–12% of ovarian cancers2. It is often associated with endometriosis and tends to be diagnosed at an earlier stage compared to other ovarian cancers3. Key Features: Histology: Tumor cells have a clear cytoplasm and may exhibit tubulocystic, papillary, or solid growth patterns. Genetics: Common mutations include ARID1A, PIK3CA, and PTEN, which contribute to tumor development. Symptoms: Abdominal bloating, pelvic pain, back pain, and changes in menstrual cycles. Blood clots, such as deep vein thrombosis, are also a risk. Diagnosis: Imaging studies like ultrasound or CT scans. Biopsy and histopathological examination to confirm the diagnosis. Blood tests to check for tumor markers. Treatment: Surgery to remove the tumor, often combined with chemotherapy. Clear cell carcinoma is known to be resistant to standard platinum-based chemotherapy, making treatment more challenging #OvarianCancers
