Let’s be honest: There are a couple of things people criticize about many conferences, including digital analytics events. According to them, events like this are often organized by tool vendors and sometimes seen as little more than a marketing event disguised as a conference. The headline keynotes, those people say, are then often paid sponsor slots, and the topics are very vendor-friendly. On top of that, the cost of admission is often very steep. If you know the members of the analytics team at DHL, you will know that we love our craft and enjoy sharing knowledge and experiences. Since we have the power of one of the largest brands on the planet behind us, why shouldn’t we just organize our own event? That’s how the idea for this event was born. The concept is very simple: We want to hear people we deeply respect talk about the topics that are relevant to them. No restrictions on what can be said, no vendor guidelines to follow, just pure opinions from some of our best friends. While we approach each speaker with a topic idea in mind, everybody is free to cover something more relevant to them.
