DDDN | The Russian border region is plunged into a "nightmare" before Ukraine's continuous attacks. On March 21, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov of the Belgorod region, Russia, announced a series of attacks by Ukrainian drones (UAVs) on settlements on the Belgorod border, killing and injuring many people. One attack left one civilian dead and another injured, while a UAV crashed into a vehicle, killing a security company employee. The attacks also caused property damage to Russia, targeting civilian and commercial infrastructure. Belgorod has recently suffered frequent UAV attacks from Ukraine. On the same day, the Governor of Rostov announced that a UAV attacked an apartment complex in Rostov-on-Don, causing an explosion on the 17th floor but no loss of life. Russia announced that it had intercepted more than 10 UAVs in the Voronezh region. Previously, Ukraine also attacked Engels-2 air base, causing a fire and destroying Russia's missile depot.
