A Haven for the Addicted

Father Douglas McKay of Our House Ministries, and pastor of St. Gabriel Parish in the “Grace” Ferry neighborhood of Philadelphia shares his calling to bring back the lost sheep of his area. Our House Ministries’ mission is to take care of the poor and the needy, while bringing hope and second chances to those who thought they had none. A few members of The Calix Society, a Catholic version of AA, discuss how the local chapter of Calix at St. Gabriel Parish, guided by Father Doug, has changed their lives. Father Doug shows that inviting a person back into God’s grace and the Church gives them immeasurable strength to overcome any weakness.
