Gimmick archetypes exist in pro wrestling; there's been more than one unhinged wrestler on our TV screens (Brian Pillman and Psycho Sid), we've had multiple giants who tower over their opponents (Andre The Giant and The Big Show), we've had superstars claiming to be ladies men (Ravishing Rick Rude and Shawn Michaels) along with legit athletes competing in the ring with amateur credentials (Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar). Not every wrestler that's graced a ring has been a true original in terms of their characteristics. This video looks at common pro wrestler archetypes that have appeared in WWE, AEW, TNA and WCW.
