We visted Burghley House outside Stamford in Lincolnshire 29th March 2023. This video shows our visit to the gardens. It was an overcast day with rain on and off all day, however the gardens were showing some beautiful Spring displays which made it a wonderful walk around the Gardens. We were fortunate that the South Gardens are open to the public between 18th March and 16th April so we were able to walk around this area in addition to the ' Garden of Surprises' and the Sculpture Gardens which are open throughout the season. The private South garden was designed by 'Capability' Brown from 1757 and gives views across the Lake. There is also a Summer House designed by Capability Brown overlooking the lake. The Gardens are packed with daffodils which were nodding and lighting up the day. We also show the Garden of Surprises and the Sculpture Gardens which also have some early spring colour to enjoy.
