🌸Nowruz, the first day of the solar year, corresponding to Farvardin 1, is the celebration of the beginning of the New Year and one of the oldest celebrations left over from ancient Iran. Nowruz originated in ancient Iran and is celebrated in large areas of Asia and other parts of the world. Nowruz is celebrated at the vernal equinox and at the beginning of spring. Nowruz, officially known as "International Nowruz Day", has been registered by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. 🌳This is a video to show the customs and ceremonies of Nowruz. Before the New Year in Iran, it is customary to tidy up the house, wear new clothes, and arrange Haft Sin. HaftSin 🍎 Haftsin is a table of seven symbolic things taken from nature, whose names begin with the letter "Sin", and is traditionally spread during Nowruz, the Iranian New Year. Haftsin is one of the most famous Nowruz ceremonies, placed on the floor or table, and usually family members sit around it at the turn of the year. This table is made by gathering and selecting seven things from the following: Apple: Apple symbolizes beauty, health, and vitality. Sanjad: Sanjed symbolizes love and wisdom. Sumac: Sumac symbolizes patience, forbearance, and acceptance of hardships. Garlic: Garlic symbolizes health and protection from diseases. Vinegar: Vinegar symbolizes experiencing and accepting life's adversities. Greenery: Greenery symbolizes greenery, growth, and rebirth. Samanu: Samanu symbolizes blessing, strength, goodness, and happiness. After preparing the house and the Haft Sin table, relatives and friends visit and congratulate each other on spring and the New Year. Giving Eid gifts is a tradition that has been in Iranian culture since the past. The elders would give Eid gifts to the younger ones, and the younger ones would go to the elders to kiss them. The important thing was to receive a gift from the elders, but today this tradition has changed and cash gifts have replaced the old traditions. Happy persian New Year everyone.🪻🍎🎉 #vlog #persian #nowruz #newyear
