Big Bear Eagle Cam ~ Mrs BB Eats Shadow's Coot Gift ~ Shadow's Brief Visit 2.10.19

Mrs BB flies in to the nest and sees the coot nestover that Shadow had brought yesterday. She starts to eat it - showing us that nothing will go to waste on an eagles nest. All the bones and/or feathers or other non digestible matter will be cast out as a pellet tomorrow. She swallows a bone at 3:18. When she is finished she feaks her beak & goes to her branch before flying off. Later at 11:13 Shadow arrives to the nest. He looks around, goes to the right branch and flies off as well. This activity has been very encouraging for our BB eagle couple! Hopefully the snow will melt and the nest will be more conducive for eggs. Thank you for watching my video!
