The 4 A’s of the Marketing framework helps the organizations to identify exactly what needs to be done so that the product looks acceptable, accessible, and affordable to the customer. 1. Acceptability The element Acceptability means that the offered product or service must meet or exceed the customer’s needs and expectations in a specific target market. It includes two dimensions Functional Acceptability Relates to objective performance attributes of a product or service Psychological Acceptability Relates to the subjective performance attributes of a product or service 2. Affordability Affordability refers to the point up to which a buyer is able and willing to pay the price for a product in the market. It includes two dimensions Economic Affordability Refers to whether the potential customer has sufficient money to pay the product price in the target market Psychological Affordability Refers to whether the potential customer is willing to pay the product price in the target market 3. Accessibility Accessibility refers to whether a customer can acquire and use a product or service with ease. It includes two dimensions Availability It measures whether the organization has enough products to match the customer demand in the market Convenience Convenience refers to whether a customer can acquire a product or service with ease 4. Awareness Awareness refers to whether a customer is informed about the attributes and benefits of a product or service. It includes two dimensions Product Knowledge Refers to the knowledge and understanding and whether it is sufficient to persuade a potential customer in making a purchase Brand Awareness Refers to reminding existing users of why they should continue using the product or service.
