For the ones that want to give this tutorial a try, here is the full length video. A more detailed look into Corel Draw, it´s bug´s and why i use Photoshop for certain things. Here is the link to the short version of this video:    • K40 Laser Tutorial / Topographic Wall Art ...   I recently saw an amazing piece of art in a Gallery using multiple layers of wood to recreate the topography and bathymetry of South Florida and the Keys. As i am back in the Mancave so i tried to create something similar using my K40 Laser cutter. However this project ended up in multiple days of work as for filming i needed to redo certain steps. I used Corel Draw 12 that came with the K40 to do the cutting job, unfortunately it came out that this version is quite buggy! I hope you enjoy this video and give it a try! Please let me know how your project came out! Disclaimer: Please note that the K40 is a class 4 laser product. Operating the Laser with the lid open as seen in the video is extremely dangerous! I am wearing special safety goggles while filming and monitor the machine remotely when recording timelapses. Do not attempt this with your machine! Stuff you need for this Tutorial: K40 Laser Engraver and Cutter Corel Draw 12 or higher Photoshop Elements 6 or higher Internet access 5 sheets of plywood Sandpaper and Steel wool Acrylic paints, i used differend shades of blue, green and yellow for the ocean and white, yellow, black for the island.
