Take Dr. Brad Wolf’s mind & body health quiz: https://quiz.leadquizzes.com/q/LqQup4 Are you sitting at your desk all wrong? If you are consistently working at a desk and sitting for long periods of time, ... after days, weeks, and months, it will take a toll on your body, if you aren’t doing it properly. In this video, Dr. Brad Wolf goes over 4 things you can do while working at a desk to make sure you’re taking care of your body. Begin to be aware of your posture at your desk, especially if you tend to slouch. In the moment, slouching might not seem like it has much effect on your body. Yet over time, if you are consistently in a slouching position, you may experience problems in your body from repetitive bad habits. The second thing is to incorporate exercise into your workday. Many people set aside specific time to exercise, before, during or after work. By incorporating simple exercises into your workday, you can accomplish the equivalent of a full workout by the time your workday is finished! By taking just 2-5 minutes out of every hour to do different exercises during your workday, (on top of your normal workout routine), you can combat the wear-and-tear that impacts your body while sitting at a desk for long periods of time. Another general guideline to follow while in an office setting is: Sit, Stand, Move. Our bodies are meant to move and suffer when were in one position for too long. By bringing movement into your day, in combination with sitting and/or standing at your desk, your body can stay healthier and more active while helping to avoid stiffness, pain and injury. The last guideline to follow, is to be proactive in taking care of your body by preparing it. We prepare our body with strengthening exercises–working on your core, legs, and other body parts. With better preparation, the body will be able to endure sitting for long periods of time. Watch this video to learn how you might be sitting at your desk wrong, and the 4 things you can do about it! ______________ Dr. Brad Wolf’s Bio: Dr. Brad Wolf, DC has dedicated his life to helping Transform World Health.
