HOW TO DANCE THE HULA, WELCOME TO iHULA HAWAII

Aloha everyone! My name is Lynn and welcome to iHula Hawaii, where I bring the hula of Hawai‘i to you. Have you ever wanted to learn how to dance the hula? How to do those hula feet? Sway those hula hips? And learn that beautiful iconic hula hand? Maybe you thought you needed to come all the way to Hawaii‘i to do that? Or maybe you looked into a hula class in your community and either the time didn't fit for you, or maybe you just didn't feel comfortable learning something new in front of others. Well, I have a solution for you! I've made some hula videos that I'd like you to try out. In these videos, I'm teaching you the basics of the feet and hands, and how to put them together to dance an authentic hula. There are also some videos where you just dance along. Now in these videos, I'm dancing mirror image, so you simply follow me right and left. Now you can do this by yourself, or grab a friend...you can even do it with your kids. But most importantly out of all of it, I really want you to have fun. I want you to feel comfortable with moving your body. I want you to enjoy the music and how your body gets to move in the hula. As a dancer, choreographer and teacher (kumu), I want to share the art of hula with as many individuals as I can. No experience is ever necessary – just a willingness and a desire to learn.
