What if everybody was given a random weapon at the start of the match, and then their gear was set to a pure build of a random ability? This is the basis for the "Sheldon's Gear Ability Shuffle" challenge is. If your willing to accept the things can potentially get even more rigged than the regular random weapons challenge, then it is pretty fun. Especially when you get a fun combo like Quick Super Jump on a Beakon Weapon. This challenge is definitely not for anyone who has problems with getting easily angered at the game. I didn't have as many fun combinations during this second run of this challenge, possibly due to how, unlike Splat Zones, Clam Blitz is very much the opposite of a Knockout heavy mode. In this instance that does come with the downside of less matches, meaning less opportunities to roll a fun weapon kit + Gear ability combo, but also I overall like Clam Blitz as a mode, so . . . . Regardless, this is definitely an instance where it pays to be a jack-of-all trades for weapon usage. Also, you get to choose your gear purely for fashion for once, which is fun. So, I mentioned I had a bit of a story about Sub Saver on CAM-O Charger: Basically, I equipped 2 pures of Ink Saver Sub to test something about double Sprinkler usage in the lobby, then I forgot the swap back to my regular gear CAM-O Charger before I next went into a match. This accidental gear build ended up working out quite well for the one match I used it in, and having double sprinklers for the purposes of escaping being rushed down when positioning aggressively did come in clutch. Unfortunately, I lost the replay before I could record it. Having had this experience, though, I think the devs should definitely lower Sprinkler's ink cost, if they aren't going to buff it in any other way.
