An homage to an early drone video shot February, 2019 along the frozen Elk River, north of Steamboat Springs. This year's winter has produced mountains of snow along with cold enough temperatures to make turn the river into this otherworldly landscape. It really was challenging to both film and photograph the scene, as I didn't give myself time to do both adequately. The snowy skies and the flowing river from the recent trip were a reminder of the changing seasons, and affirmed the joy of simple solitude.
