Japanese Salarymen are salaried workers in Japan that work very long hours for their companies. The stress, lack of sleep, malnourishment and depression that comes from that level of work has created an epidemic of Karoshi "Overwork Death". Besides heart attacks and strokes, the rate of self caused death is very high among salarymen and women that work like this. The isolation and stress is multiplied by a portion of Japanese society that actually looks down on and insults salarymen for their hard work. The Japanese leadership is trying to improve the situation, but their are many social and cultural influences that add to the pressure to work like this. As a songwriter that is not from Japan, I am powerless to help in any substantial way, but the suffering and stress that I have witnessed in my research makes me wish I could tell these workers they are important and that I see their hard work as valid. So I wrote a song...that's all I know how to do. :D I currently live in my car and can't afford real recording or a real music video, so I have taken to creating AI images on NightCafe and then photoshopping them as a slide show to help tell the story...do what you can. lol Love or hate it...please comment. If you do like it...press like and subscribe! Thank you!!! Count Boogie
