'Going to be a circus' - Slovakia PM slams EU over Russia-Ukraine

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico reaffirmed his opposition to the EU’s continued support for Ukraine and criticised sanctions against Russia, citing concerns about Bratislava's energy ties with Moscow. Speaking on Wednesday, Fico announced a call with European Council President Antonio Costa and an upcoming Brussels summit focused on European aid to Ukraine. "With great regret, I note that topic number one is Ukraine. Topic number two is money for Ukraine. Topic number three is loans for Ukraine. [...] Still nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing. Until at the end, something about competition capabilities, where perhaps we can talk a little," the prime minister stated. "That's going to be a circus, ladies and gentlemen. I am curious what you will say then, [...] there might not be even a gramme of what we need for nuclear power plants," he voiced his concerns over the sanctions targeting Russian energy.
