Dynasty Warriors 5 Xtreme Legends Ling Tong Chaos Mode Custom Audio: Dynasty Warriors 7 -- Secret Strategy Dynasty Warriors 7 -- Pierce [General Comments] All my previous Ling Tong videos use his 4th weapon. Now finally is a better weapon with a Musou bonus. Again, Ling Tong's maximization as most know it by now, is dominantly C4. Quite a simple maximization for Chaos ownage. It is interesting that such a C4 makes Ling Tong one of the best characters in the game, despite relatively weak Musou strength. Lu Xun had a master plan to launch a fire attack across the line of Liu Bei's camps just across the river. Ling Tong was instructed to wait until Zhu Ran finishes preparations and protect him for the fire attack. Ling Tong got bored and thought he'd go out and get some exercise....until he got overextended and thought, geeeez....if all the Shu officers were this noob, we don't need strategy. So he ignored orders and kept going to pierce the enemy's main camp. LMAO =_= Sorry about Li Yan Shows how vital game control is in Chaos. Ling Tong must approach C4 with no threats behind him. [Maximization Setup] Medium Weapon Attack Musou Speed Charge Fill / Defense Ice Orb Tiger Amulet Green Scroll Wind Scroll True Way of Musou Way of Musou [Maximization Comments] relatively easy maximization. no practical reason to go with a light weapon -- medium weapon attacking speed and charge speed is very fast heavy weapon is also not a good idea as maximization revolves around C4, and C4 execution and recovery are long with a heavy weapon Whether seems necessary -- minimizes leading time required in massive crowds, and makes C4 execution safe abuse C4 for Musou filling. Very cheap, early, 360, long reach, damaging charge attack, with fast execution and recovery times. Long enough reach to hit blocking officers too. True Musou for offense A full True Musou is almost enough to KO a generic officer. Using C4 to hit generics while Musou filling or using preceding normal attacks come naturally or easily before Musou execution against generics use C4 approach to activate Ice against playable officers. Two C4's gives an 84% chance of killing the playable officer in one Musou. The first Musou is a given because it's needed for Musou filling. Regardless of whether the second C4 freezes or not, Ling Tong is still a few normal attacks and a True Musou away from killing a playable officer. Offensive analysis then, leads to two cases only. 1) one C4 used, or 2) Two C4's used, before a True Musou. This is how Ling Tong is powerful even against playable officers despite having a relatively low Musou strength (same strength of mid tier characters) C1 is very useful for escape purposes, and very useful for after both regular and True Musous. C1 has a recovery, but the execution speed and distance covered often ignores this recovery. C1 is very good for dismounting (better than C4) JC may be a good move to scatter very massive crowds all other moves aren't considered for maximization. C5 may be used leisurely with good frontal reach. All other charge attacks seem impractical in Chaos. [Tier List Comments] Ling Tong is a high tier character high freeze rate with C4 offsets relatively weak Musou strength very fast offense against both generics and playable officers offense is typically fast enough to equal that of 1-Musou-KO type of characters very good at mounted officers almost unaffected by multiple officers unlike the top tier, Ling Tong can't attack at will and must keep threats in front of him -- even so leading crowds requires relatively little time, so offense is still fast. massive crowds will affect offense more by forcing Ling Tong to lead crowds in between C4, and C4 will be harder to hit blocking officers, and preceding normal attacks may become risky very good against archers. Continuous mobility makes him hard to hit Musou endings make him stationary and vulnerable against archers, but unlike Guan Yu, Ling Tong's Musous arent crowd clearing and tend to keep peons close by to create the shielding effect (enemy arrows cannot penetrate enemy peons -- must have a clear line of sight)
