** PLEASE NOTE - THERE IS A NEW IMPROVED VERSION OF THIS VIDEO TO VIEW HERE:    • UPDATED - RNLI Harbour Event During Gala D...   ** This footage is from an RNLI Lifeboat event held on a Gala Day in Seahouses harbour, Northumberland. My grandfather, T.S Henderson will have shot this footage, however I can not give you an exact year - looking at the clothes and cars, maybe late 60's or early 70's? Leave me a comment if you have any suggestions. The crowds on the harbour are amazing, and todays health & safety regulations would never allow that Westland Whirlwind helicopter to carry out these manoeuvres today! The original footage was of an extremely low quality. The resolution is only 720 x 576, there was a lot of grain, noise, and frame jumps. After getting the original footage digitized, I have edited and enhanced it using several pieces of modern software. I tried upscaling it, however too many artefacts were introduced. In the end, I left it at 720 x 576, however have attempted a little denoising and sharpening. If you enjoy this video, please Subscribe to the channel.
