Check out the behind the scenes video - http://bit.ly/1fZgApM Sign up to get early access to new Thirsty For episodes - http://bit.ly/1erTHZC Watch more Thirsty For - http://bit.ly/1nunCWq Shot and Directed by: Eric Slatkin Food Styling by: Kari Lauritzen - http://theyellowbungalowla.com/ Recipe Development: Jay Holzer, Eric Slatkin, Emily Mraz, Kari Lauritzen Editor: Jacob Metiva Title Graphics: Lydia Baillergeau - http://byairjo.com/ "Little Jukebox" by The Newton Brothers Courtesy of JSP Records HEARTBREAKER RECIPE: INGREDIENTS: 5-6 boxes, separated into: -48 white hearts -48 pink hearts -48 purple hearts -3 Cups Vanilla Ice Cream -whipping cream -⅔ C Milk per layer TOOLS: -coffee grinder -sifter -whipped cream charger / nitrous oxide -blender INSTRUCTIONS: To make the whipped cream: 1) crush up the purple hearts 2) Strain through a sifter, and with the sifted powder, add 5 TBS into whipped cream charger - reserve the larger chunks that are caught by the sifter to rim the glass 3) charge it with your nitrous oxide canister To make the milkshake: 1) Soak pink hearts in ⅔ C Milk for 5 minutes 2) Soak white hearts in ⅔ C milk for 5 minutes 2) Add white hearts and milk into a blender, pulse for 20 seconds. 3) Add 1.5 Cups of vanilla ice cream - you want this layer denser than a regular shake (concrete) 4) Pour into your final glass (which has already been rimmed) 5) Add your pink hearts + milk and pulse for 20 seconds 7) Add 1.5 Cups of of ice cream and blend 8) Add pink layer into milkshake glass - pouring over the back of the spoon to more gently add the layer Garnish: 2) Top it off with whipped cream 3) Take the larger pieces of hearts from the sifter, and lay on the top, along with the heart of your choice
