Day Trip to Kamakura Japan

Japan has become my favorite Asian country to visit since I experienced the slow and laid-back pacing in Fukuoka. This time, I'm crossing off Tokyo from my list of places to visit in Japan. I will not fancy the shopping areas, the touristy spots, or the super busy food streets in Tokyo. Hence, I chose to spend a full day trip to Kamakura, a seaside Japanese city just south of Tokyo. Where the sound of trains, crashing waves, seagulls and footsteps are the top music to the ears. The coffee scene in Kamakura blends traditional "kissaten" (old-style coffee shops) with modern third-wave cafes, offering a mix of classic, cozy experiences and contemporary, specialty coffee. Walking around the calm and quiet alleyways of Kamakura and spending the day just drinking coffee feels like a dream.
