Step into the elegant world of the Ton!🪭 I am blending Bridgerton-inspired fashion with the intricate, meditative art of traditional bobbin lace, and adding a bit of sparkle along the way.💜 The project is a beautiful Regency era lady, ready to be mounted in a pretty frame. This video is the complete process from start to finish. There is something incredibly grounding about watching a pattern emerge from just a few simple "cross-twist" movements. Whether you are a seasoned lacemaker or someone who just loves watching heritage crafts, I hope this video provides a moment of calm and inspiration. You can see the process in greater detail in other videos. 🧵What's Inside: • The creation of the dress, the arms, face and hair, and then sewing on crysal bead embellishments. • A close-up look at the stitches used for this pattern: The hem is made using Rose Ground; the dress is made with cloth stitch for the skirt, half stitch for the bodice and petals / leaves for the delicate cap sleeves; the arms and face are cloth stitch; and the hair is half stitch with a plait. 🪡Tools & Materials Used: • Bobbins: A variety of light and dark wood, bone and ebony Midland bobbins with beaded spangles on the ends. • Thread: White cotton thread woven with a silver metallic thread for the hem, a sparkling metallic blue coloured thread and light blue cotton thread for the dress, a pale pink for the arms and face, and a brown with a rose gold metallic thread for the hair. • Pillow: Traditional straw filled round pillow. • Pins: Brass lace pins • The Pattern: Self-drafted pattern 📱Let's Connect: • Instagram: / tready_makes • My Shop: https://treadymakes.etsy.com you can buy some of the things I create in my videos.
