One of the most swollen cataracts I have ever done. Note the minimal entry of the feather blade due to lens proximity, Healon initial injection through the corneal incision to be able to enter the AC from the side port, the reflux of most of the Healon injected into the A/C through the mini-side port and finally Healon 5 injection through the corneal side port as its relatively thick cannula did not go through the side port. Despite my efforts and constant top-up with Healon 5, I managed to save the CCC twice but lost it when I tried to enlarge the CCC in a spiral shape way. Note how the CCC went out under the pressure of the cataract. I tried to debulk the lens by using the phaco probe bevel down to aspirate the thick cortex. Despite the CCC discontinuation, the surgery was uneventful without affecting the posterior capsule and the IOL went into the capsular bag
