Together they hunted, survived, and lived free of crowns, gods, and chains. But freedom attracts hungry things. One night, drawn by whispered riddles and deceptively playful verse, the ranger stumbled into a presence older and crueler than any beast he had tracked. Through poems laced with lies and games rigged to deceive, he was tricked into surrendering what he loved most. Airy was taken — not by force, but by clever words and false promises. The loss shattered something already cracked. A pessimist shaped by hardship, now bound to a creeping, corrupt magic that feeds on grief and rage, he walks with a curse coiled around his soul. This power grants strength, but demands blood — often the blood of those he would rather protect. Thrown into the chaos of the illithid invasion, the ranger fights not just for the fate of Faerûn, but for his own freedom. Each battle is a choice: resist the darkness and save what remains of his humanity… or give in, and become the very monster that took everything from him.
