An electrical circuit model of a dynamic loudspeaker can be a useful tool for accurate simulations of passive filters and power amplifiers. Here, we look at such a model, based on the work of Neville Thiele, Richard Small, and others. For details, you can find their original papers in various issues of the Journal of the Audio Engineering Society from the early 1970s. In this video, a technique is presented that allows you to make an RLC circuit that approximates the complex impedance plot of a single, direct radiating loudspeaker.
